ON PURE CREATION

"There is no such thing as pure creation."

In my first (yet unpublished) novel, one of the main characters, Lucas, muses in the above lines about the idea of pure creation and our inability, as human beings whose output is determined by the world around us, of creating anything original.

What do you think about the idea of pure creation?

The muse?

The source of inspiration and creativity?

Is there such a thing, or are we all at the mercy of our conditioning?
